A son was born to Diana and Jeremy Christensen, of Riverton, at 7:30 p.m. April 24, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds.
A daughter was born to Lyndsey and Jacob Christian, of Lander, at 9:30 p.m. June 8, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces.
Joseph C. Bushyhead, 57, of Fort Washakie, died Tuesday, June 19, at the Lander Regional Hospital. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church with interment following at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at Arapahoe. A rosary is at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton with a second rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at the family home, 704 Tinebea, Fort Washakie. Longtime Wyoming attorney and state legislator Harold E. Meier, 80, formerly of Lander, died Sunday, June 17, in Mesa, Ariz. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be a private family service. 53rd Annual Eastern Shoshone Indian Days & Rodeo Celebration is June 21 to June 24. This is a traditional Native American Powwow located near Fort Washakie on the Wind River Indian Reservation. This Powwow has been designated as one of the 2012 Top 100 Events in North America by The American Bus Association.
