Jun 21, 2012 - StaffMarguerite J. Barquin, 83, of Kinnear, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Lander Regional Hospital.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Riverton. Private inurnment will be at a later date at St. Edward's Cemetery at Kinnear.
A reception will follow the service June 25 in the St. Margaret's Gym.
Marguerite Jolene Milburn was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Arcadia, Neb., the daughter of Cecil P. and Maude (Bryson) Milburn. She lived the majority of her life in Fremont County and was a graduate of Pavillion High School.
Mrs. Barquin was a homemaker, having married James Barquin Jr. on Nov. 1, 1945, in Red Lodge, Mont.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.
She engaged in ranching operation with her husband, until his death.
Her family said Mrs. Barquin enjoyed family activities, meeting people and in her younger years, enjoyed running her teepee gift shop the "Teepee Trading Post" west of Kinnear.
Survivors include her son, Jim Barquin III and family; daughter Jolene Scheer and her husband Vern and family; son-in-law Tom Hammer and son; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Scharyle Bowman of Riverton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a daughter, Pam Devish-Hammer.
Service are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home (www.theDavisFuneralHome.com) of Riverton.
