A son was born to Alona Beck, of Kharkiv, Ukraine, and Tyson Beck, of Riverton, at 1:05 a.m. May 31, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He weighed 9 pounds.


A son was born to Velinda R. and Martin J. Brown Jr., of Riverton, at 8:30 a.m. June 7, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces.


A daughter was born to Quannah Glenmore, of Riverton, and Andrew C'Hair, of Riverton, at 5:09 p.m. May 17, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces.



Joseph Bushyhead, 57, died Tuesday, June 19, at the Lander Regional Hospital. Arrangements are pending through the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.


Aiden Eagle Road, 5, of Lander, died as the result of a traffic accident Friday, June 15, in Rosebud, S.D. He was the son of Nicole (Haukaas) Eagle Road and Casey Eagle Road. Traditional Indian funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, at the family home, No. 433 N. Third St., Lander. Interment will be in the Wind Dancer Cemetery at Fort Washakie. An evening service and wake are at the family home at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21.


C.D. "Duane" White, 73, of Riverton, died Monday, June 18, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, at the Davis Funeral Home (www.theDavisFuneral of Riverton. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.

53rd Annual Eastern Shoshone Indian Days & Rodeo Celebration is June 21 to June 24. This is a traditional Native American Powwow located near Fort Washakie on the Wind River Indian Reservation. This Powwow has been designated as one of the 2012 Top 100 Events in North America by The American Bus Association.

In Riverton police reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- Jerald Friday, 49, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- John Chavez, 30, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Jody Blackburn, 32, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Lonestar Addison, 33, of Arapahoe, was cited for shoplifting.

- Jason Morrow, 32, of Riverton, was arrested on a warrant (courtesy hold from Ohio).

- Angeline Vargas, 37, of Arapahoe, was arrested for probation revocation.

- Chauncey Friday, 45, of Ethete, was arrested for shoplifting.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- Matthew Bishop, 20, of Lander, was arrested for contempt of court.

- Mardell C'Bearing, 36, of Lander, was arrested for contempt of court.

- Marsha Friday, 21, of Rapid City, S.D., was arrested for bond revocation.

- Marlis Hill, 25, of Lander, was arrested for contempt of court.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews responded to 12 crews and firefighters were dispatched six times.
