Jun 8, 2012 - StaffBrandon L. Eagle, 30, of the Eastern Shoshone tribe, died Friday, May 25, 2012.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 2, at the Round Valley United Church in Covelo, Calif., officiated by his grandmother, Patricia Bergie, the North Bear Drum from Arapahoe, and with traditional Native California celebrant ceremonies. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Covelo, Calif., with relatives and friends attending.
Brandon Lee Eagle was born April 13, 1982, in Willits, Calif., the son of Patricia Trosper of Salt Lake City.
Mr. Eagle is survived by his daughter, Anika Eagle of Fort Washakie; brothers Mike Eagle of Chico, Calif., and Kyle Trosper of Salt Lake City; mother Patricia Trosper of Salt Lake City; aunts Delmona Azbill and Victoria Eagle; sister Alexis Eagle-Blackbird; uncles Lydale Azbill, Danny Eagle, Tiger Enos, Don Calit, Glen Duncan, Patrick Eagle, Will Enos and Joe Boggs Jr.; the families of Boggs, Dildine, Duncan, Mendoza, Sloan, Tovar, Shepherd, Gonzales, Cage, Want, Pulido, Barns, Vaca, Morrison, Bermudez, Azbill, Enos, Eagle and Bergie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Janice M. Azbill and Delmar Azbill; uncles Marvin Azbill, Tony Eagle and Andrew Azbill; sister Cori Lee Enos; great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Barbara A. Mos and Enos J. Enos of Fort Washakie.
