May 27, 2012 - StaffEdward Dale St. John of Casper died following a brief illness on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. He was 62 years old.
He was the brother of Robert St. John of Dubois.
Funeral Services were at noon Friday, May 25, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Casper.
Interment followed at Highland Cemetery in Casper.
Edward Dale St. John was born Feb. 11, 1950 in Mills to Dorothy Christensen and Robert St. John.
He attended Casper schools and after graduating from Natrona County High School in 1969, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving until 1976.
On June 23, 1972 he married Ellen Minear. They had two daughters. They later divorced.
In 1998, he met Georgia Darrah through a family friend, and they were married on Dec. 5, 1998.
Mr. St. John joined the Mills Volunteer Fire Department and served until his retirement in 2010.
While with the fire department, he took a job with the Town of Mills and worked his way up through the ranks until retiring from parks maintenance in February of this year, serving a total of 28 years.
Mr. St. John is survived by his wife, Georgia; daughter Lorna and grandson Henry; brother Robert and wife Linda of Dubois; sister Norma of Casper; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; his second family, stepdaughter Kristen, step-granddaughters Kiya, Brianna, and Ashley, and step-great-granddaughter Marie Holden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, daughter Jackie, and numerous aunts and uncles.
