Hyrum H. 'Murph' MurphyApr 26, 2012 - Staff Hyrum H. "Murph" Murphy, 88, of Riverton, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Wind River Healthcare in Riverton. No services will be held. Inurnment will be in Nocona, Texas. Hyrum Hamlin Murphy was born May 27, 1923, in Cutbank, Mont., the son of Hamlin Hyrum Murphy and Florence Murphy. He served with the U.S. Army paratroopers during World War II. Mr. Murphy was a retired oilfield worker. He married Bettye Black, and they were later divorced. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Baxendale; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe, and a sister, Helen. Arrangements are by the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. |
