Letters have led to more open talk about senior citizens center

The senior center board member's "advice" to the concerned seniors is "stop writing letters to the editor"?

That must mean the letters are working, in that they have got some discussion started up that isn't behind closed doors. This is not a personal issue of mine, but someday (sooner than I ever thought!), I expect to use the senior citizens center. I get suspicious when people in charge say the answer to a bona fide concern for everybody to just keep their mouths shut about it.

I say "keep writing the letters."
