May 19, 2014 - From staff reportsA weeklong overnight Exploration Camp geared toward middle school students is scheduled for June 22 to June 26 at the Central Wyoming College Sinks Canyon Center.
Hosted by CWC outdoor education instructor Stacy Wells and students, the camp gives participating sixth- through eighth-grade campers the opportunity to learn skills in rock climbing, orienteering and map reading, native flora and fauna, archery, survival skills, primitive fire starting and more.
The campers stay in cabins and tents, and daily breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided with the $300 fee. All necessary equipment is also supplied by CWC, including a camp T-shirt.
The registration deadline is June 6.
