Two poems by local writer published in new chapbook

May 2, 2014 - From staff reports

Carol L. Deering, a former library director at Central Wyoming College and past president of Wyoming Writers, Inc., has two poems in the WyoPoets 2014 chapbook, "Weather Watch: Poems of Wyoming." Deering's poems are "A Flurry of Horses" and "Loss & a Lingering."

From more than 100 entries, thirty-four poems by twenty-four poets were selected by juror and featured poet Barbara Smith of Rock Springs. The selection was made by a double-blind process: the poets submitted without knowing the identity of the juror, and the juror was not shown the poets' names.

WyoPoets is an organization whose members write poetry for publication and/or as a hobby. Its mission is to provide a base for mutual help and inspiration by encouraging interest in poetry.
