Mar 28, 2014 - By Katie Roenigk, Staff WriterThe Fremont County Coroner was called at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday to a "suspicious person" call in Ethete, apparently a dead body.
Coroner Ed McAuslan on Friday confirmed that someone had died "out there," but he did not have any more information about the incident.
The coroner's office is handling local elements of the investigation, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation is in command because the body was found on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
"You'll have to call the FBI," McAuslan said. "I don't know what the FBI wants to release at this point."
The coroner said he would have more information in the future, but he wasn't sure when.
The FBI had no comment on the body as of noon Friday.
