A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Sinks Canyon near Lander.
Michael David Horton was born July 25, 1979, in Casper, the son of John R. and Shannon Horton. He grew up and went to schools in Lander.
He spent most of his adult life as a caregiver in various work environments.
His family said the focus of his life was his daughter, Amanda Louise, who was born Jan. 16, 2005. They said he also loved music and could play any instrument by ear, enjoyed reading and had an artist's eye.
Mr. Horton is survived by his daughter, Amanda; his mother, Shannon; his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Maegen; his sister, brother-in-law and niece, Joleen, John and Kylie; his grandfather, Les; his grandmother, Jean; his aunts and uncles, David and Rebekah, Julee and Bryon; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John R.; grandmother Donna; his aunt, Janet; grandfathers John F. and Erwin.
Memorials may be made for the benefit of his daughter to the Amanda Horton Fund, in care of Shannon Horton, 2228 N. Second St., Lander, WY 82520.
