Hudson murder case shocking

It is simply shocking to find out the details about the murders of the two people in Hudson, starting with beating and stabbing them to death and then coming back to burn up their trailer. There can be no motive to explain or justify what was done. Hearing that there was a 15-year-old boy dragged into this breaks my heart. This is a child. Why do these things happen?
