Two men sent to prison for assaults

Two Riverton men were each sentenced to time in a federal prison this week for separate assaults.

Dylan Thomas Blackburn, 20, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl for assault resulting in serious bodily injury for a January incident. Blackburn was arrested in Lander. He received 21 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $11,862.63 in restitution. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Crawford Daniel Oldman, 28, was also sentenced Skavdahl for assault resulting in serious bodily injury for a May incident. Oldman was arrested in Lander and he received 18 months of imprisonment, to be followed by two years of supervised release. Restitution in that matter will be determined at a later date. That case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
