Big Red swimmers host Worland, Powell

The Lady Wolverines hosted Powell and Worland in a swim meet Friday at the Riverton Aquatic Center, and the usual suspects came through on the winner's podium.

Josie Dike (5:56.60), Jordan Lewis (1:18.56) and Kaylie Gopp (1:04.28) took home honors in the 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly, respectively.

And a fresh face broke into the win column, as Elizabeth Pierson won the 1-meter diving competition with 162.85 points.

Also victorious was the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Gopp, Syonia Jordan, Dike and Jordan Lewis, who finished in 1:52.19.

Overall, the Lady Wolverines finished third in the team competition, with 129 points. Worland won with 150.

Already qualified for the Class 3-A state meet in Gillette on Nov. 2-3 are Dike (50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard individual medley), Gopp (50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke), Lewis (50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard individual medley), Jordan (50-yard freestyle) and Aspen Treber (100-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle).

Next for Riverton is the Rock Springs Invitational on Friday.
