Wolverines defeat Lady Panthers

Oct 1, 2017 By Craig Blumenshine, Staff Writer

The Riverton Lady Wolverines volleyball team avenged two earlier season losses to the Powell Lady Panthers with a 3-0 win at Powell on Saturday.

This win counted more than the two earlier losses to Powell because it registers as Class 3-A Northwest conference victories and offsets a Thursday loss at Cody.

Riverton (14-8, 2-1 Class 3-A Northwest) will participate in conference duals next Friday and Saturday at Mountain View. Teams scheduled to participate with the Lady Wolverines include host Mountain View, Cody, Lander, Lyman, Powell Rawlins and Worland.

The Lady Wolverines won't play at home again until Oct. 12 when the Lander Lady Tigers come to Wolverine Gym.

Riverton stats vs. Powell

Service Aces - Ella Hauck 1, Hannah Reinig 1, Naya Shine 1, Skyler Smith 1, Taylenn Thompson 2. Kills - Alexxis Motisi 4, Hauck 3, Reining 3, Shime 19, Smith 8, Thompson 5.
