Many elected officials just want to help

To Randy Tucker's column of Sunday, Aug. 27. I say "Amen."

I especially appreciated the following: "We don't have a monopoly on elected self-service in Wyoming, but those we do elect are pretty good at self-aggrandizement."

And: "The moral of this story is easy. Don't give in to bureaucrats. They are there to help, not to hinder you."

I think many elected officials are honest and want to be helpful. Thank goodness for them, for they are few and far between sometimes.

Others must think they are above the rest of us once they get a "title" by their names, and God forbid that we should ask anything of them.
