The homestand continues for one more night Thursday when the Riverton Lady Wolverines volleyball team hosts the Class 4-A Evanston Lady Red Devils at Wolverine Gym.

The match is set to have an early 5 p.m. start.

Evanston (12-7, 1-1 Class 4-A West) climbed to the championship game in the gold bracket of the Star Valley Invitational last Saturday but fell to Lyman 2-1 (21-15, 20-22, 15-7) to finish in second place.

Riverton was dominated in straight sets, losing to Mountain View, in its most recent match last Saturday in Wolverine Gym.

After the match with the Lady Red Devils, on the Wolverines (9-5, 1-0 Class 3-A Northwest) will travel to the Casper Events Center Friday to play in the 16-team Casper Invitational.

Rolling-schedule pool play begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Riverton will challenge Class 4-A West leader Kelly Walsh, Green River and Class 1-A Northeast leader Kaycee.

"It's not bad, but it will be tough for sure," Riverton head coach said Trista Day, evaluating the teams in Riverton's pool.
