One thing is for certain when the Lady Wolverines take the volleyball court.

Naya Shime is going to bring it and bring it hard.

Once again, Riverton's sophomore smasher was dominant, collecting 23 kills on Friday at Wolverine Gym against Torrington, but it wasn't enough in a 3-2 (25-20, 18-25, 11-25, 25-22, 15-9) defeat to the Lady Trailblazers.

In addition to Shime's strong effort at the net, Taylenn Thompson and Ally Lanham added nine and eight kills, respectively.

Hannah Reinig provided 28 assists, while Shime was one of four Lady Wolverines with double-digit digs with 19, along with Maycee Manzanares (14), Ella Hauck (14) and Reinig (13).

Thompson led with seven aces and Carlee Flanagan had 12 assists for the Lady Wolverines.

Riverton (5-3) will next play in the Rawlins Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
