Aug 31, 2017 By Katie Roenigk, Staff Writer

A Colorado man was arrested Saturday after brandishing a handgun from the roof of a building in downtown Riverton.

No one was injured in the incident, which was reported at about 7:10 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of East Main Street.

Officials said an off-duty officer took video of Dustin Hunt, 21, of Lakewood, Colorado, "hollering and waving (the gun) around" from the roof of a building in the area.

When police arrived at the scene, Hunt had left the roof and gone inside the building, according to reports.

He was arrested for reckless endangering as well as delivery of a controlled substance.

Two local residents were arrested for possession of marijuana as well: Jayde Crenshaw, 19, of Riverton, and Daycee Lane, 20, of Riverton.

Stabbings

in a separate incident, police are looking for a suspect in a stabbing incident reported at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of East Adams Avenue.

Officials said a 24-year-old Riverton man who was the victim of "several stab wounds" was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries related to the incident.

Further information was unavailable Tuesday as the investigation is ongoing.

"Once we do identify a suspect and place one in custody I'll let you guys know," Riverton Police Department Capt. Todd Byerly said Friday. "We haven't arrested anybody."

He added that there is no reason to believe there is a threat to the general public.

"It appears this is an isolated incident," Byerly said. "We don't have a mass stabber out and about. I'm sure there was some type of association between the two."

Officials on Tuesday said there still hadn't been any arrests.
