Neil Hamilton, 65, lost his battle against cancer. He passed August 22, 2017 in the

home he shared with wife, Carol Ann Hamilton in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born November 20, 1951 in Rangely, Colorado to Ormond and Maude

Hamilton.

The family moved to Lost Cabin, Wyoming in 1956. He grew up hunting and fishing -- loving the freedom of the outdoors. He attended school in Shoshoni, Wyoming and was a graduate of the class of 1970. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Marine Corps, serving our country in the Vietnam War.

He met and married Gloria Apodaca of Riverton, Wyoming in 1973. The couple had two children: son, Chris; and daughter, Tracy. He enjoyed working in the Wyoming oilfields. He loved sharing time with his kids, Chris and Tracy on family fishing trips, lazy days at the lake, and summers spent at the baseball fields.

He resided in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma since 1991. As superintendent for Cyclone Drilling Co. of Gillette, Wyoming, he enjoyed working with son, Chris; son-in-law, Eddie Shells; and grandson, Josh Shells. He was a great boss and mentor to many.

Neil is survived by wife, Carol Ann Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Josh, Jasmine, Jordan, and Eddie (children of Eddie and Tracy Shells of Riverton, Wyoming); Abbi, Jhett, and Jaci (children of Chris and Natalie Hamilton of Cowley, Wyoming); as well as two great grandchildren: Trenton (son of Josh and Kyli Shells of Riverton, Wyoming); and Aubriella Arellano (daughter of Jasmine Shells of Colorado Springs, Colorado).

Neil was preceeded in death by his parents and sister, Gloria Hamilton Jacobs.

Neil will be greatly missed. He was one-of-a-kind, all who knew him will never forget him.
