A daughter was born to Kammi Hill of Lander and Gonnie Mendez of Elko, Nevada at 9:09 a.m. Aug. 23 at SageWest Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces.

BECK

A baby was born to Kelsey Beck of Lander and Jared Beck of Lander at 3:43 p.m. Aug. 24 at SageWest Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces.

WHITEPLUME

A daughter was born to Raquel Shakespeare of Riverton and Daniel Whiteplume of Riverton at 5:02 p.m. Aug. 25 at SageWest Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 4.8 ounces.

GOULD

A son was born to Priscilla Gould of Ethete at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 26, at SageWest Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 3.8 ounces.

Deaths

HANCOCK

Mary Alice Hancock, 85, of Lander, passed away Aug. 25, 2017. As per her wishes, there will be no services, and cremation has taken place.

SMITH

Gerald Gordon Smith, 82, of Lander, passed away Aug. 25, 2017, at the Wind River Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Riverton. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1,at the Chapel of Mount Hope in Hudson's Funeral Home.

SANTEE

Fred D. Santee, 65, of Riverton, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at the Riverton United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.

CRIPPEN

Robert Crippen, 66, of Riverton, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at the Help for Health Hospice Home. Services are pending.

The 63rd Northern Arapaho Indian Powwow is Sept. 1-3 in Arapahoe. This community powwow also has a hand drum contest on Saturday and a parade and feast on Sunday.

In Riverton Police Department weekend reports through Monday:

-Police responded at about 8:10 a.m. Friday to reports that someone had spray painted graffiti in the 700 block of North Second Street West.

- Police responded at about 9:10 a.m. Friday to reports of property destruction in the 100 block of East Lincoln Avenue. Officials said there were scratches on the ignition area of a vehicle and the steering wheel column was damaged.

- Johnathan Quiver, 21, of Riverton, was arrested at about 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South 10th Street East for criminal entry and on a Fremont County warrant. Officials said he was "highly intoxicated" and trying to get into a residence in the area.

- Danny VanVleet, 25, of Riverton, was arrested at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East Main Street for driving under the influence. Officials said he also was involved in a hit and run incident in the 400 block of East Main Street.

- James Wheeler, 48, of Lander, was arrested at about 2 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North Federal Boulevard on a Fremont County warrant.

- William Piper, 46, of Billings, Montana, was arrested on an RPD warrant.

- Brian Bell, 46, of Riverton, was arrested at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Main Street for public intoxication. He was arrested again at about 10:10 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Main Street for public intoxication.

- Josiah Bell, 19, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was cited at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Main Street for minor in possession.

- A 16-year-old Riverton girl was charged at about 12:40 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of East Sunset Drive for driving under the influence - youthful offender and possession of tobacco.

- A 16-year-old Riverton boy was arrested at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of College Hill Drive on a Fremont County warrant and for resisting. Tayler Tillman, 18, of Lander, also was arrested for with resisting, and a 17-year-old Riverton girl was arrested for minor in possession and resisting. Officials said the subjects tried to run from police.

- Marion Killsenemy, 27, of Riverton, was arrested at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of West Monroe Avenue on a Fremont County warrant and for possession of a controlled substance.

- Aaron Arthur, 42, of St. Stephens, was arrested at about 9 p.m. Sunday on North Ninth Street at Roosevelt Avenue on a municipal warrant.

- Elder Majera Mejia, 29, of Riverton, was arrested at about 9:40 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North Federal Boulevard for driving under the influence.

- Nakeesha Duran, 18, of Riverton, was arrested at about 1 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of Eagle Drive on two Fremont County warrants.

- Benjamin Ridgley, 61, of Ethete, was cited at about 11:40 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Federal Boulevard for shoplifting. Officials said he tried to take mouthwash from a store in the area.

- Robert Hischase, 58, of Riverton, was cited at about 1:15 p.m. Monday on East Park Avenue at Federal Boulevard for a stop light violation and no insurance. The initial call was regarding a traffic accident.

- Marie Donathan, 25, of Riverton, was arrested at about 2 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of East Fremont Avenue on a municipal warrant.

- Brian Anderson, 35, of Riverton, was arrested at about 4:20 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of North 16th Street East on a municipal warrant and for open container.

- Douglas Lemley, 34, of Riverton, was arrested at about 4:05 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West Adams Avenue on a hold order for probation and parole.

- Jorge Esquivel, 23, of Riverton, was arrested at about 5:05 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West Adams Avenue on a hold order for probation and parole.

- Kenneth Shakespeare, 31, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 5:55 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Federal Boulevard on eight municipal warrants and open container.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Thursday through Monday:

-Singing Ouray, 19, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:55 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of North Eighth Street West in Riverton for underage consumption and pedestrian under the influence.

- Colten Lane, 28, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence.

Justin Noland, 31, of Lander, was arrested at about 8:45 a.m. Friday in the 9700 block of Wyoming Highway 789 near Riverton on a Fremont County warrant for probation revocation and a Moffat County, Colorado, warrant for probation revocation.

- Deputies responded at about 9:30 a.m. Friday to reports that someone had driven through a field and a yard and damaged some fencing and a post on Sunnyside Avenue just north of Riverton.

- Deputies responded at about 1:30 p.m. Friday to reports that a bridge on South Third Street in Dubois had been damaged when a swather drove over it, breaking some planks. Officials said the Town of Dubois is aware of the problem and is making the repairs; there was no injury or other damage.

- Wylan Gambler, 28, of Riverton, was arrested at about 2:45 p.m. Friday on Haymaker Road north of Riverton for driving under the influence. Officials said he was the driver and sole occupant of a 1977 Ford truck that missed the corner at the intersection of Haymaker and Delfelder roads and ran into a drainage ditch.

- Deputies responded at about 12:35 p.m. Saturday to reports that a vehicle was "sitting on top of a rock" on West Ramshorn Street in Dubois. Officials said the vehicle had struck boulders that were put in place to keep vehicles from driving on the grass; no injuries were recorded.

- Jayshauna Tillman, 22, of Fort Washakie, was arrested at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of South Federal Boulevard for driving under the influence and on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear.

- John Woodcock, 53, of Riverton, was arrested at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday on Blackfoot Avenue in Riverton for driving under the influence.

- Ramsrun Armajo, 34, of Riverton, was arrested at about 12:50 a.m. Monday on Cherry Street in Shoshoni on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear.

- Katie Eagleroad, 35, of Riverton, was arrested on Fremont County warrants for contempt of court and failure to appear.

- Travis Lincoln, 34, of Riverton, was arrested at about 9:45 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton on a Fremont County warrant for probation revocation.

- Travis C'Hair, 22, of Riverton, was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton on a court order.

- Lacie Snyder, 29, of Riverton, was arrested at about 1:35 p.m. Monday in the 3800 block of Airport Road west of Riverton on a Fremont County warrant for probation revocation.
