Gail E. Stofer passed away after a sudden illness on Saturday Aug. 19, 2017. She

died peacefully in Austin, TX with her family at her bedside. Gail was born in Cheyenne, WY on Feb 27, 1938 to Wayne and Eleanor Ross. She married Jon

Stouffer on July 28, 1957 and together they had 3 children. They moved to Arizona in 1982 and lived there until Jon's death in 1997.

Gail worked as a travel agent in all of the many places they lived. After retirement, she moved to Sun City in Georgetown, TX where she met and married Gerald Stofer on Dec. 21, 2011. They enjoyed traveling, attending concerts, plays and were very active in their community. Together, they built an airplane and spent many beautiful hours flying to various destinations. One of her favorite trips was to get up early and fly to Fredericksburg for breakfast.

Gail remained active in her retirement with P.E.O., golf, bridge, Mah-Jong and enjoyed time with

her P.E.O. sisters and many friends. She was a also a regular at Pilates and rarely missed her classes.

Gail is survived by her husband Jerry, sister Carolyn, two daughters, Kari and Tami, and one son, Eric. She has four grandchildren, Toby, Chad, Scot and Melissa, and five great grandchildren.
